01 / The challenge
Give music decisions more context.
Music teams wanted a more structured way to understand a track’s emotional character and potential audience. Listening judgment mattered, but they also needed a consistent way to compare tracks and explore regional appeal.
02 / The approach
Bring sound and language together.
Emotion Gauge combined audio analysis with natural-language processing of lyrics. Tempo, key, timbre, energy, and arrangement supplied musical signals; sentiment, themes, and imagery supplied lyrical context.
The system brought those signals together into an emotional profile, then modeled how that profile related to listening patterns in different regions.
03 / The outcome
A clearer picture of a track.
The platform gave music teams a shared view of a track’s emotional characteristics and modeled regional appeal. Those outputs supported comparison and audience planning alongside creative judgment.
